Parent Survey

Wow! What an amazing Healthy Lifestyles Week we are having here at Newdale. There is a real buzz around school as children and staff enjoy being active and trying some exciting activities for the first time! We hope you have been enjoying the daily photos and videos shared on our Facebook page and school website. I would like to share a final reminder to complete our annual parent survey by Friday 5th June 2026 using the link below:

Healthy Lifestyles Week Raffle 2026

This years Healthy Lifestyle Week Raffle is now live on ParentPay and has some incredible raffle prizes!

1st prize – Saka’s signed football boots

Second prize – Tyrone Mings signed football shirt

£2.50 per ticket. The raffle will close on Parent Pay on Friday 5th June at 9am. PLEASE NOTE – multiple tickets can be purchased but only one transaction can be made.

Raffle will be drawn on Friday PM.

Ice cream and lollipop sale to return again tomorrow!

Thank you to all of those people who bought a lollipop or ice cream at our sale after school today – we sold out of all 200 items!

Due to its popularity and the scorching temperatures forecast, we will be repeating the sale at the end of the school day tomorrow. Items will again be either 50p or £1. Please bring the exact change wherever possible.

 

Enjoy an end of half term treat whilst supporting us in fundraising for our fantastic Newdale children.

Loudmouth Production: Screen Time

Years 5 and 6 took part in watching a drama performance called ‘Screen Time’ this morning. They were shown how to use smart phones responsibly and given valuable information about what data is and how it used when online. The performance explained the impact of data on algorithms and then began to explore more sensitive topics such as dis- and misinformation and how to deal with unkind comments from others when online. The performance and workshops expressed the importance of sharing any worries with trusted adults and explained the reason behind age restrictions on certain apps.

Disinformation: is false, inaccurate, or misleading information that is deliberately created and spread with the intention to deceive.

Charles Darwin Fact Files

Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed creating fact files about Charles Darwin for our topic about evolution. They have independently researched and written about his life and important discoveries. Year 6 took great pride in their presentation to create some fantastic written pieces.

Year 4, 5 & 6 DISCO Information – Thursday 21st May

Years 4, 5, 6, we hope you are as excited as we are for the upcoming D.I.S.C.O on Thursday! :)  Get those song requests handed in and practise those dance moves!

 

Can all children attending please enter through the main reception doors at 5.30pm.  You will see a member of staff for each year group ready to tick your name off the guest list and let you in, so please look out for your year group line to queue in.

Please note the collection points for each year group are slightly different and will be as follows:

Year 6 at the end of the disco will be taken out of the external door by the year 6 classrooms and will be released to parents/carers collecting from the Y6 gates. 

Year 5 at the end of the disco will be released from the hall exit doors to parents/carers.

Year 4 at the end of the disco to be will be taken back out of the main reception doors to parents/carers. 

The Disco will end at 7pm.

Please can we ask parents and carers dropping off to take their child’s coats with them once they have dropped off at the disco and then bring them back on collection. This will help with storage and ease during the disco. Thank you.
