Year 4 P.E for Summer Term

Hello Everyone

In Year 4 this coming half term, P.E will be on a Monday and Wednesday. This week, both P.E slots will require outdoor P.E kit.

On Monday 9th May, Mrs Everall’s class will start swimming sessions. Mrs Everall’s class will then need to start bringing their swimming things on Mondays and Mr Jackson’s class will continue to need their outdoor P.E kit.

Mr Jackson’s class will begin swimming on Monday 27th June.

Many Thanks

The Year 4 Team.

Reception Dino Day 2022 🦖

What a fantastic day in Reception today to mark the end of our Dinosaur topic.
We had great fun reading dinosaur stories, making dinosaur skeleton pictures, making binoculars, role playing in our costumes, playing dinosaur games and best of all meeting a gigantic T-Rex 🦖 who decided to invade our PE lesson!
Thank you to all for the wonderful costumes provided. They really brought the day to life.

Reception Star of the Week 💫

Well done to Jessica for being this week’s star in our class. You have continually worked really hard and it shows in the great progress you are making. Your reading has come on leaps and bounds and we can’t fail to see what a great artist you are.

Arthog info

Good evening,

We’ve had a few requests for information off parents who couldn’t attend the meeting last night.

Unfortunately, to safeguard our pupils, we cannot send the presentation out as it contains pictures of pupils.

However, you can find all you need on https://www.telford.gov.uk/aoec/site/index.php/.

The trip will take place between the 10th and 14th October this year and will cost £250 to be paid in four instalments. The deposit (£100) is due on 31st May, with three further £50 payments due on 30th June, 31st July and 31st August. If you have concerns about this or feel that you may be eligible for support, please contact the office directly.

The other key piece of advice given last night was that children should pack their own bags (with support) so they know exactly what they have and where it is. Kit lists are provided by school whilst most wet-weather gear is actually provided at the centre.

Mrs Thomas explained just how brilliant instructors are at putting even the most nervous children at ease without making a fuss in front of others. The instructors at Arthog are very experienced professionals who will ensure all pupils are happy, safe and get the very most out the trip. Nervous children can opt out of activities; instructors will help them enjoy the site in a different way (e.g. scrambling over some low boulders nearby whilst the others are climbing).

I hope this helps with any queries!

Have a wonderful Easter holiday and happy Ramadan to anyone celebrating too!

Miss Harrison.

Reception Star of the Week

Congratulations to Lexi who is Mrs Sturrock and Mrs Evans’ Reception ‘Star of the Week’ this week for excellent phonics work.
