Y4 Spellings

Due to printing issues at school, next week’s spellings will be on Google Classroom.

As soon as the matter is resolved, we will stick the spellings in the child’s diaries.

Apologies,

Mrs Fenn

Nature Walk Tomorrow

Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 5 will be completing their postponed Nature Walk tomorrow (6th May). Please ensure that your child comes to school in clothing suitable for the outdoors, including waterproof coat and a change of shoes. We aim to observe the change of season, the different parts of a flower and the potential impact of the development on the hedgerow habitat.

Thank you,

The Year 5 Team

4.5.21 Maternity News!

Dear Parents/Carers of Year 5 children,

Mrs Arthurs is very pleased to announce that she is expecting a baby. Some of you will already know of this news! The little bundle of joy is due to arrive into the world over the summer – Mrs Arthurs is hoping to be able to teach her class up until the end of the summer term.

We shall keep you informed of any changes to the current plan.

We all wish her and her family the very best of luck.

Yours sincerely,

Update 4.5.21

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are now hopeful that we will have an uneventful rest of the term. What with the disruptions of Covid 19 and the fire, surely we have had our fair share of issues to deal with…

We keep our eye on the infection data for our area and have decided to continue our drive back to normality, albeit at a necessary slow pace.

We are giving you notice that from next Monday (11th May) we will be reverting back to a 8.40 am start and 3.10 pm finish for all children unless they are in Breakfast Club or After School Club.

The one way system and requirement for adults to wear masks whilst on our site remains at this time. If you can, please continue to pick up your child alone, to reduce the amount of people on the school site.

Please remember that registers close at 9 am so it is not essential to all crowd in for 8.40 am.

It is still paramount that you play it safe when considering sending your child into school if they are unwell. Two schools locally have had real problems with mini Covid outbreaks because of this.

Regular testing is really helpful in keeping control of the virus. Our staff continue to test at least twice a week.

Thank you for your support.
