Relationships, Sex and Health Education Consent

Subject: RSE consent.

Following on from our Relationships, Sex and Health Education meeting last Monday for year 1 to year 6, we have prepared a condensed presentation to share our life learning curriculum for those who could not attend. This presentation has been emailed out via Parentpay, please log in to view.
Once you have looked through the subject content for each year group, can you please confirm whether you consent for them to take part in the non-statutory sex education lessons via Parentpay. Please contact your child’s class teach if you have any questions.

If you choose to withdraw your child from these lessons, a member of staff will call you to talk through your decision and provide you with more information; hopefully answering any further questions you may have.

The deadline for all consent forms is Friday 9th December 2022.

Flu immunisations will take place in school on Wednesday 7th December.

Consent forms will go home with pupils today. Please return forms to school by Friday 25th November, forms must be returned even if your child will not be having the immunisation.

Year 2 Christmas Nativity

We hope the children have enjoyed learning our nativity songs as much as us adults. We have been blown away with their incredible voices, actions and dance moves.

On Friday we sent home their costume slip and their lines to practise if they have some. We ask can these words be practised at home and brought into school in their reading packs everyday as we will be practising each day.

We can’t wait for you to see their performance :)

The Year 2 team :)

Year 2 Mrs Trevor’s class

Congratulations to my Be SMART cup winners for having a fantastic week last week with their song rehearsals for our Christmas Nativity. The children have decided that as a treat, they would like to bring their own slippers and a teddy into school whilst watching a short film and having hot chocolate.

We will therefore celebrate this on Friday 18th November. Please can your child bring in a mug for their hot chocolate- we will provide the hot chocolate.

Thank you,

Ms Trevor and Miss Sohail  :)

Earth Day

Dear Parents/Carers,

The children really enjoyed participating in our first Earth Day. Please ask your children what they got up to!

Thank you for the donations you sent in. We made a total of £374.50. When we take away the cost of our beautiful Earth day tree and the small charge from the Wildlife trust, we have £216 left over.

This money will go towards the development of our allotment. We want children to learn about being self-sustaining in growing their own food.

Everyone had a fabulous day which concluded in a celebration assembly and a reflection on why it is important to look after our Earth and what small steps we can do to support this process.

Have a great half term.

Miss Cook
