Dear Parents / Carers

As you will be aware, government guidelines currently state that school residential trips are unable to go ahead due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, this has meant that Arthog has had to cancel the trip which was supposed to go ahead in October 2020. The good news is, we have managed to provisionally secure a 3-night stay (rather than the original 4-night stay) at Arthog over a weekend in May: Friday 21^st to Monday 24^th May 2021. This is fantastic timing as it will be shortly after SATs and a great opportunity for the children to celebrate all of their hard work and their time at Newdale before moving on to secondary school. As the trip will be over a weekend, the children will then get two days off school on Tuesday 25^th and Wednesday 26^th May because as we know from previous years, the children return very tired after an action packed few days and will need time to recover. Hopefully by the time we get to May next year,  we will be in a more stable position and residential visits will be allowed to Arthog. The cost of this weekend will be £175. We are aware that some people have already made part or full payment for the original trip and the office will be in touch with you, once attendees are confirmed to inform of outstanding balances or refunds due. Clearly, if the trip does not go ahead, you will receive a full refund. In order to secure this booking with Arthog, we will need to confirm numbers therefore could you please log onto Parentpay and confirm whether you wish your child to attend.
