Did you know that we have a ‘parents’ area’ on our school website which contains important information about our school? Please spend a few minutes exploring this section to learn more about safeguarding, E-safety, Early Help to name but a few.

Parents’ Evening

Whilst you wait in the corridor for your parents’ evening appointment next week, please feel free to look through your child’s books. You will notice some questions have been printed for you to ask your child about their learning. A great way of getting children to remember their learning is to regularly revisit past knowledge. We are planning in lots of time for children to do this and felt parents evening was an opportunity not to be missed. Please spend a few minutes with your child talking about their learning this half term and you never know you might learn something new too!

We look forward to welcoming parents and carers into the school next week.

Christmas Fayre

 Dear Parents/Carers,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Christmas Fayre on Thursday 28th November.

It will be cash only as we do not have any banking facilities on site.

We have tried to think about using different spaces so as to avoid the usual bottle necks. However please expect it to be busy and please be patient.

It would really help if you could somehow avoid bringing pushchairs and buggies. I know sometimes this isn’t possible, but maybe a baby sling or similar could help us with the congestion.

At home time the bell will go and children will be released as normal. Staff will quickly get to their stalls and then we will open the main entrance by the office.  This will be the only entry/exit point so that we can manage numbers in our school building.

All proceeds are going towards supporting all of our families in keeping school trip costs down to a minimum.

Thank you for your support.

🌟 Achievement Assembly 🌟

Friday 22nd November

This week, Years 1, 2 and 5 were lucky enough to visit the cinema as a special treat. Year 4 also visited the Molineux Stadium where they took part in team building exercises and a journalism workshop. The staff were impressed by our school’s listening skills!  On Wednesday, the weather surprised us all as we had an unexpected snow day. Thank you so much for sharing all the lovely activities and tasks you got up to at home! I know many of the pupils were excited to share their learning, snow sculptures and creations with their class when we returned to school.

BeSMART Cup winners who will have a special treat next week:

Miss Lowe’s class for excellent engagement and enthusiasm in Maths and Literacy, trying harder to follow the BeSMART code everyday and for being confident with rehearsing their lines for the nativity. We really hope that you enjoy your special treat next week.

Attendance winners this week – Gertie and Omar will join them next week in class and they will all enjoy an extra playtime:

KS1 winners are Miss Hill’s class with 97%

KS2 winners are Mr Banfield’s class also with 97%

Achievers of the week:

Year 6 achievers: Freddie for his excellent work at home during our Snow Day, creating his own science experiment to make blood like we did in school. Demi for a super Chance to Shine and her commitment to making progress in her writing.

Year 5 achievers:  Mr Jackson’s achiever of the week was chosen for being super helpful and super enthusiastic towards his learning. For making an extra effort with his reading over the last couple of weeks too. Mrs King’s achiever is Eva for showing off her scientific knowledge in our recent experiments.

Year 4 achievers: Theo for super snow day home learning about symmetry and France. Cerys for outstanding creativity in her snow day Narnia-themed story and impeccable behaviour on our school trip to Molineux.

Year 3 achievers: Carter for a positive attitude coming into school. Smrithi for being a positive, kind and hardworking member of the class.

Year 2 achievers: Coby for working hard in class, setting a good example and his brilliant Snow day Diary. Emily for showing daily resilience and trying hard with every lesson

Year 1 achievers: Caitlyn for being a kind and helpful friend and always working exceptionally hard in all her lessons and Miss Fisher’s  achiever was for always following the BeSmart code, follows instructions well and is responsible as a class helper.

Year R achievers: Ayda for a wonderful week, with a fantastic positive attitude towards her learning and being a kind friend and James for being independent getting himself properly dressed for fun in the snow every time, taking responsibility for his belongings too!

‘Times Tables Rockstars’ of the week:

Last week, we were part of the ‘England Rocks’ TTRS battle. We were so impressed by the number of pupils who tried their best to score points for our teams and we know that this is improving their times tables recall in lessons too. The class with the highest class average, and therefore winning the TTRS trophy this week, was Miss Hill’s class. Congratulations to everyone in this team who took part in the battle!  Aarush receiving the trophy on behalf of his class as he scored the most correct answers in the whole school, closely followed by Mayra in second place and Chimzy in third! Well done rockstars!
